Brookdale Community College announces the recent July 3, 2023, hire of alumni Eddie Galante, who is the newest Coordinator of Athletics & Recreation. Galante attended Brookdale from 2006-2008 and competed as a member of the baseball team.

During his playing career at Brookdale, Galante was part of back-to-back trips to the NJCAA World Series in Tyler, TX. Galante was a 2-year starter behind the plate and received All-Conference and All-Region awards.

After a year of coaching at neighboring Red Bank Catholic High School, Galante returned to Brookdale as an assistant baseball coach in 2009 to the most recent 2023 season. 

A native of Wall Township, Galante was a member of both the football and baseball programs at Wall High School, and was a member of both football and baseball state championship teams. Galante was also a part of the 2004 Wall baseball team that went 5-for-5, and is considered tobe the best shore conference team ever.

Galante is currently the director of the 9ers Baseball & Softball programs, which compete on the travel circuit nationally since 2010.

Galante resides in Brick, NJ with his wife and two daughters.
